Products & Projects

A showcase of custom components and project work.

Examples of the kinds of components and projects IFL Manufacturing takes on. Each entry is a real category of work — photos, drawings, and specs will be added as projects are released.

Project 01

Custom Ball Valve Stem Extensions

Reach extensions for valves located above ceilings, behind panels, or otherwise out of practical access.

Problem
Ball valves end up in inaccessible locations — above drop ceilings, inside cabinets, behind racks. Operators can't reach the handle to isolate or shut down a loop without removing infrastructure.
Application
Data center overhead chilled water and process piping, utility cabinet shutoffs, industrial isolation points, and lockout reach extensions.
Materials
Carbon steel, stainless steel, and engineered plastics. Material selected based on environment, media, and operator load.
Manufacturing approach
Built to match the existing valve stem geometry and the required reach length. Each extension is machined to the as-built field condition rather than a catalog dimension.
Ideal buyer
Data center mechanical contractors, facility engineers, and utility operations teams managing hard-to-reach valves.
Project 02

Load Box for Ferroresonance Utility Applications

Purpose-built load equipment for utility ferroresonance testing and field conditions.

Problem
Ferroresonance scenarios on the distribution grid require specific load characteristics that off-the-shelf equipment doesn't address.
Application
Utility testing, distribution system commissioning, and field work on configurations prone to ferroresonance.
Materials
Details to be confirmed per application.
Manufacturing approach
Custom enclosure and internal assembly built to the utility engineer's specification. Production sized to project quantities.
Ideal buyer
Utility engineering and operations teams.
Project 03

Custom Electrical Brackets

Mounting and adapter brackets for switchgear, panels, and field-installed equipment.

Problem
Standard mounting hardware rarely matches the as-built condition. Field crews end up modifying parts on site or holding work until something custom arrives.
Application
Switchgear mounting, panel adapters, enclosure retrofits, and field-installed equipment supports.
Materials
Carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Finishes selected for indoor, outdoor, or corrosive environments.
Manufacturing approach
Built to print or to a field sketch. Short-run quantities are standard.
Ideal buyer
Electrical contractors, switchgear OEMs, and utility / industrial maintenance teams.
Project 04

OEM Electrical Replacement Parts

Direct-fit reproductions of discontinued or hard-to-source OEM parts.

Problem
Equipment is still in service but the OEM no longer supports the part — or quotes a lead time that doesn't match the outage window.
Application
Keeping legacy electrical and industrial equipment running when full replacement isn't the right answer.
Materials
Matched to the original part where possible; alternates proposed when an upgrade or substitution is appropriate.
Manufacturing approach
Reverse-engineer from a sample, drawing, or photograph. Produce a direct-fit replacement that drops into the existing assembly.
Ideal buyer
Utility, industrial, and OEM service teams maintaining in-service equipment.
Project 05

Quick-Response Cart

Mobile cart configured for rapid field response.

Problem
Field response work needs equipment staged and mobile, not laid out across a shop bench.
Application
Utility and industrial field response, mobile maintenance operations, and shop-floor work that moves with the job.
Materials
Steel frame and platform. Details configurable to the customer's tooling layout.
Manufacturing approach
Built to the customer's configuration — frame, storage, mounting points, and finish to spec.
Ideal buyer
Utility field crews, industrial maintenance teams, and shop operations buyers.
Project 06

Stamping Cutter

Custom cutter tooling for stamping operations.

Problem
Production lines need cutter tooling matched to the specific stamping job — not a generic substitute.
Application
Stamping operations in industrial and OEM production environments.
Materials
Tool steels appropriate to the stamping load and material being cut.
Manufacturing approach
Machined to print, with attention to edge geometry, tolerances, and heat treat where required.
Ideal buyer
Stamping operations, tooling engineers, and production maintenance teams.
Project 07

Dead End Cap

Purpose-built end caps for utility and industrial applications.

Problem
Line terminations and equipment ends need a cap that matches the geometry and environment — not an approximation.
Application
Utility distribution hardware, industrial piping and conduit terminations.
Materials
Material selected for the environment and load. Carbon and stainless steels common.
Manufacturing approach
Machined or fabricated to the customer's drawing or sample.
Ideal buyer
Utility distribution teams, industrial contractors, and OEM hardware buyers.
